Other Distinctive Clinical Patterns

Reticulate or Net Like Rashes This pattern may be seen in erythema infectiosum, urticarial vasculitis and resolving urticaria. Levido pattern is similar but on the legs. It is a feature of polyarteritis nodosa, calciphylaxis and venous stasis states including cold. In the latter rewarming the skin will cause it to disappear. 

 Retiform Purpura This is where you have a non blanch able net like rash made up of partially occluded parts of the normal vascular network. It is seen in some cases of cryoglobulinaemia, Cholesterol emboli, Antiphospholipid syndrome, Canciphylaxis and intravascular lymphomas. It may also be seen in DIC from meningococcus. 

 Perioral scaly rashes Seborrhoeic dermatitis, Contact Dermatitis, Acrodermatitis enteropathica, Necrolytic migratory erythema, paraneoplastic pemphigus

Leonine Facies    Lepromatous leprosy, Scleromyxedema, Multicentric reticulohistiocytosis , Post kala azar dermal leishmaniasis, Pachydermoperiostosis, Forehead "rhinophyma"

Eyelid Margin beaded papules  Lipoid proteinosis, Primary systemic amyloidosis
